Why I chose to be a Virtual Assistant

//Why I chose to be a Virtual Assistant

I have been inspired by a recent newsletter I received from Exeter PA Network and I wanted to write a quick post about not what I do, but why I do it.

I recently decided to set up my own business and the more I think about it the more I realise I had loads of reasons to do it:

  • I love helping people.
  • I enjoy business, administration, finance, processes, logistics and lots of other business tasks… no really, I do!
  • I wanted to do something that I felt passionate about every day.
  • I wanted to have control of my work and my working hours.
  • I could see that business owners could benefit from my services.

I truly believe that ambitious business owners can achieve even more and reach their goals by having extra support and I would really like to be the person to support them. I also believe that by outsourcing tasks business owners can make more money as they have time to focus on their business. There are a dozen more benefits, I won’t list them here but I have written about the benefits in a separate post which explains ‘What is a Virtual Assistant‘.

Having networked with a lot of local business owners since I started my business at the end of June, I can see how many incredible business owners there are in the local area. I have also seen first hand what can happen when they outsource, and not necessarily to a Virtual Assistant, it can be anything from social media, legal, HR and lots more. Business owners benefit from these outsourced services and my hope is that I can benefit as many business owners as possible.

I have recently returned from some time off and I have had time to reflect on my business and I am feeling incredibly motivated. I can’t wait for the next chapter and building my growing business in the coming months.
