More about Kirsty Piercy
I love business and all things business related, including admin and finance, which most people find boring or stressful. I am genuinely passionate about helping people and business owners and I pride myself on being easy to work with, professional and someone that you can count on.
I have been assisting business owners throughout most of my career and when I started Kirsty Piercy Virtual Assistant, or KPVA, I could put my employment experience to good use. I can now say that I know what it is like to have a new start-up business. I have not only advised on what to do, but I have now walked in those shoes, so to speak.
I have been able to support businesses in Devon, mainly around the area that I live, Newton Abbot, Torquay and Exeter, with various outsourced business support services. The business owners that I have worked with have outsourced for various different reasons, they wanted to free up their own time, they didn’t want to commit to hiring an employed member of staff, they needed support for a one-off project only or to get through a busy period.
Testimonials and Reviews
Kirsty has been an exceptional business woman to work with these past couple of months. She has assisted me with all types of administrative tasks required in starting up my new practice. She works in a very professional, accurate way and has completed any given project at an extremely high standard. I would definitely recommend Kirsty and I can’t thank her enough.
Kirsty Piercy is brilliant and efficient. She is hardworking and gets things done. She organised the logistics for two international bookings for my act and she was an on-site coordinator for one of the events. She is friendly and a great communicator. It was easy to follow the information given to me for the event.
Kirsty Piercy has been helping us at Westcountry HR for a while now, she is a great support to the business when we need that extra admin support. Kirsty is one of the most professional people I have met and her skills are endless. Comes highly recommended.
I am writing in my capacity as vice chairman of Torquay Cricket Club which is seeking funding to replace the pavilion. I asked Kirsty to compose a report on the very complicated issues surrounding funding for sports clubs. We need to know what funding is available and how to submit bids. Working from a very short brief, Kirsty produced a comprehensive report to guide Torquay Cricket Club through the bidding process. Kirsty has found funding sources unknown to us. I am delighted with Kirsty’s initiative and attention to detail. Summary – Kirsty is easy to work with. She saved me hours of time and effort and did a far better job than I could have.
I was Kirsty’s manager for several years at Darnell’s Chartered Accountants. The work that she produced for me was always of a very high standard. Kirsty is extremely hard working and very diligent. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
We first had the pleasure of using Kirsty five years ago whilst setting up our business. I am sure everyone is aware this can be a daunting and confusing time. Kirsty fully helps with the whole set up from dealing with companies house to helping us with employees and our accounts. Her knowledge of accounting and general business is fantastic and rivalled only by her care and desire to help. I can not speak highly enough of Kirsty and would recommend her to any of my family, friends or clients without hesitation.
I started my career in Accountancy and I spent nearly a decade working for local Accountancy practices. This is when my love of helping businesses started, I was fortunate enough to be the person who went out to visit clients, assist with their bookkeeping, processes, accountancy software and management accounts. In addition to this, I prepared year end accounts, tax returns, VAT returns and other financial reporting for local businesses.
I was offered a role to work within a local growing business as an in-house finance manager which is when I made a move away from Accountancy. As I took on more responsibility my role developed to Head of Global Finance and Operations and I was soon in charge of the day to day running of the business. Working for a growing international business was an amazing opportunity and I gained a huge amount of experience and knowledge.
This role was also within the entertainment industry so I had to quickly adapt to work in a high pressured environment with changing deadlines and high expectations. I was able to see first hand how difficult it is to run a business, the contracts, finance, HR, legal matters, office management and a hundred other things on top. I loved it, but it was time for me to start something of my own, which is when KPVA was created.
